Friday Favourites

Each week we want to pass on some of the little things that have inspired us on social media, things we've read or listened to, things we've learnt and moments that impacted us and the things we are most grateful for during that week. These are our Friday Favourites:

1. What I am watching ...

This was one of the first TED Talks I ever saw (it also happens to be the most viewed one). In it Sir Ken Robinson who is a British author, speaker and international adviser on education in the arts, talks about the importance of encouraging creativity in schools not suppressing it.

2. What I am reading ...

Is gratitude good for your health? This article explore the potential benefits that practising gratitude can have on your health.

3. What I enjoyed on social ...

I have to admit even I get caught up staring at my screen far more often that i would like to, so this post on Instagram was a good wake up call. Granted I had to look at my phone to actually see this ....

4. What I am reflecting on ...

This was taken from "The Way of the Champion" by Jerry Lynch. I can control what others do or how they perform, so I'm trying to put that focus and energy on me instead.

5. What I am most grateful ...

The other week I added a new section to the Little Owl website. This section shared letters I wrote/ and still write to my mum after she died. The process has been extremely cathartic and helped me to move on from the initial heart break. I would certainly recommend this to anyone dealing with any loss. Whatever you write doesn't need to make sense, just write. Anyway on the back of sharing these the other week I received some incredible comments, which really touched me!

That's it for this weeks Friday Favourites, thank you so much for taking the time to read, until next time,

Tim x
