Friday Favourites

Each week we want to pass on some of the little things that have inspired us on social media, things we've read or listened to, things we've learnt and moments that impacted us and the things we are most grateful for during that week. These are our Friday Favourites:

1. What I am watching ...

"November 13th: Attack on Paris". This 3 part documentary on Netflix takes you through what happened on November 13th 2015 during the Paris attacks. It is narrated by the people who went through this incomprehensible ordeal. It is both moving and inspiring to hear their stories of bravery that night, and how they are trying to move forward.

2. What I am reading ...

A fascinating book that looks and what it takes to be an elite athlete. Tackling the nature vs nurture argument, and the 10,000 hour practice rule, which suggest starting form a young age is the only way to success.

3. What events am I interested in .

If you happen to be in London on July 4th Andy Puddicombe the co-founder of the meditation app. "Headspace" will be in town hosting an evening on how to live mindfully. I love this app. its been a real game changer for me and I can't recommend it enough.

4. What I am reflecting on ...

"Stick and stones may brake my bones but words will never hurt me." This is so true, its not the words that hurt its the meaning we attach to them along the way. This goes for how we interpret and describe day to day situations. Over time we have loaded the words we use with meaning, and allow them to impact us without a second thought.

5. What I am most grateful ...

Finally, even though this little one gets me up at 5:30am most mornings she still manages to put a smile on my face and help me to start the day with a bang!

That's it for this weeks Friday Favourites, thank you so much for taking the time to read, until next time,

Tim x
